As most of you know, I love games. Video games. I like the thrill of being able to play a car game, without worrying about denting or scratching it and having to pay off any damage costs. I love the thrill of being able to run free in a huge open space, drop a few bodies, and feel like I have achieved something great, especially when it is backed with certain objectives that you must complete in order to finish the mission.

In May of 2008, Grand Theft Auto IV was released. It was a time where gamers all over the world would line the streets at the closest video game shop just to get a copy. It was also a time of controversy (something that we all know goes along with the GTA franchise). GTA IV is one of my most favorite games on the Xbox 360. The graphics are sweet, and the story line is nothing but immersive. When I bought my copy, a friend of mine bought his the same day. Probably within a month, he finished the whole story line, and until this day, I have only completed 28% of the game, and it is now April of 2009. 11 months compared to 1. Its a bit of a shame. Just a bit?

Duplication

I just told you that I loved my gaming sessions. However I could have completed GTA IV in a month if I wanted to. Right? The only problem was, that I spent majority of the time running around and did not follow my objectives in order to finish the story line. Making money online does have the same principles. I mentioned before that there are people out there who make money while they sleep. You say, “Well hang on, isn’t that effortless?” Maybe. Stop to think though. These people who make money while they sleep probably do deserve to sleep. Why? Initially they wouldn’t have made that money doing absolutely nothing. They would have spent a bit of their time, or maybe more than a bit, to get where they are.

Systems are in place for all walks of life, just as you have certain directions you must follow to complete a game. Not many people like the word “system” when it comes to our lives being part of a system which we call the government. That is another issue for certainly another time far from now. Lets stay on the topic of this article. First of all, we have to ask ourselves, “Why must I follow a system? Can’t I make my own up?” Well you certainly can, and if you are willing to put a lot of hard work and effort, then by all means go ahead. I’m not stopping you and certainly no one else can. I am just hear to share my opinions are to why following a system can yield positive results, thus making life easier for us. Although i say “making life easier” I still want you to brand into your head, that just because something is easy, does not mean it does not require any effort. A lot of people who make a living on the internet have also written  books/ebooks either for free or for a small price. Don’t let ignorance cloud your judgment and hinder you from actually taking the time to read something. Believe me, from my own experience, taking time to read something, especially when it’s information that you can benefit from in any way, can make a positive place in the way you live your life.

Systems are duplicatable. This means that by following a certain system, you can achieve results; results that you can look back on and see what you can improve on, what you need to do better, and what you don’t need to do. You repeat this cycle, learning from your previous observations, and hopefully the second time around you yield even better results.

So if you truly are determined and passionate about making money online, or even succeeding in your business and the industry that you work in, make sure you know that your business model must follow a system. This system can either be one you have constructed yourself, or follow a system that has already been made to cater for your goals. A system that has proven results due to duplication is saying something, and if it is success and great results that are staring you in the face, then follow that system.

I am one of the millions of people on the internet who are constantly trying to find ways to make money online. When I say “find” it means I’m looking for the most affordable ways, if not, free ways to do so. You are reading this because you are hoping to find a way to make money online. You are reading this in hopes that I have valuable information to share with you so that you can make money online. Well, I can say, that I do have valuable information. Information that you may or may not want to read.

I’ve found that most the systems (not all) that I have found and searched for revolve around Google Adsense, affiliate marketing, or publishing articles about a hot niche of some sort. While all these are valid methods of earning money (and a living) online, people have this idea that they can make their first $1000 in one sitting, in the next 20 minutes, in the first week, and so on. Yes we’ve all seen it before. The not-so-pretty websites that tell charge you a one time fee of $49 odd dollars to make that bit of cash fast. Don’t get me wrong, apart from all the scams that are out there, you will find that such fees as this can yield pretty rewarding results, as long as you have studied what you are paying for before you take action and click that “Order Now” button. What I’m about to write are some things to look out for when signing up for such services. My goal is to save your ass from making mistakes, and perhaps save you by helping you save that small investment and putting it into something worth while.

Agreeing to the Terms of Use

My, oh my! How many of you out there, especially when it comes to installing a piece of software, bother to read the Terms of Use or Agreement? You know there is a reason why they include that. Let me break it down for you in the most basic way possible. IT IS THERE TO SAVE YOUR ASS AND SAVE THEIR’S! Unfortunately, I have to say that I don’t always read the Terms of Use on products and services that I use. Reading this for software you use is one thing, but reading it for something you are about to purchase online is something I cannot express the importance of enough. I know people who have said “Yes yes yes! Ok! I agree.” They then click that order button without any reluctance whatsoever, because “Hey, it only costs $1.95 right?” What they forgot to read is that “After your 7 day trial you will then be charged a recurring monthly fee of $97…” and once they check their statements with that “mystery $97″ being debited from their account, they think “Bastards! I’m suing!”… Um… No you certainly are not. Why? Their ass is covered, and your ignorance all of a sudden cost you greatly.

Have I fallen into this trap? Yes, I certainly have. Back in early 2008, I purchased one of these $1.95 products. I thought it would be a straight forward step-by-step guide to make money within the next $24 hours. Am I saying this is a scam? Of course not, but at the same time, it is NOT for everyone. Basically what this was, was an eBook with strategy and online marketing guides to help you make the most of being an affiliate marketer, or use Google Adsense to its full potential, earning you a serious income online. Like I said, it is NOT for everyone. Definitely not for the hasty either. What you have to realize, like all things, you have to put in a bit of time and effort to reap high rewards for the balanced amount of work you put in. My problem was I did not bother to read the whole eBook. Who wants to read an ugly eBook? I certainly didn’t. By the time I realized that I needed to read it, it was a bit too late, and I had already started regretting the purchase when I started to see money disappear monthly. Sure, to some it is not a great deal of money, but when it is money lost for no efforts being put in, who is the loser?

Its Not All Bad

This is somewhat of an incomplete post, and I purpose it to be that way. Reason being, is that over the next however long period of time, I will be showing some very sensible ways you CAN make money online. Some of which are free, and also some that may require a small investment. I don’t just mean spending money as an investment, but also a decent amount of time. It is VERY possible to make money online with little effort, but I am a firm believer that no effort yields no rewards.
